I recently listened to a training by Dr. Bruce Perry who is world-renowned childhood and trauma expert. He advised that the biggest priority right now for families and schools should be connection, regulation and fun. I could not agree more. Learning is important and it cannot happen without connection, regulation and fun.
To incorporate more connection, read all about special time and how to make this a staple in your home.
To learn and practice regulation, learn about the magic of belly breaths for the whole family as well as how to identify when you're going to flip your lid.
To make sure you're having fun, play games like rock, paper, scissors and do activities that bring you joy. Make self-care a priority.
